Midway Ice Castles 1/14/16

Our best friends (pretty much our family), John and Jessica, got us tickets to go see the Midway Ice Castles for Christmas.  Two Thursdays ago, we made the trip out there to see the exhibit!  It was so much fun to spend this time together!

The Ice Castles are made from running water and freezing it, sometimes freezing the icicles into place.  They incorporated music syncopation into the sculptures/castles, which made it quite a spectacle to see!  I won't write much, but here are some pictures for you to enjoy!

Of course Jess & I had to do some Snowga!  It's quite hard to do in ice and slush, though!

They even had an ice slide for us to go down, but it took awhile to get to the top to actually slide down!  And the ride was quite bumpy.  But that's okay, because when in Rome...

We all had a lot of fun and were fascinated by this creativity and talent!  Thanks so much, John and Jess, for this great gift!
